Chuck Labelle's 2024 Christmas concert
For us, the most popular figure of the holiday season, second only to Santa Claus, is our very own Chuck Labelle. His annual concerts have been bringing joy to families across Canada for over 30 years. He is a living tradition! This year, Chuck is in lighter mode, alone on stage with his richly orchestrated soundtrack and irresistible good humor.

Mattawa native Chuck Labelle is a bilingual singer-songwriter, Northern Ontario cowboy and Christmas enthusiast, with 8 albums to his credit and a musical career spanning over 40 years. In 2015, he was awarded the Prix Hommage at the Gala des prix Trille Or for his body of work.

La Slague's Evolution
La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
