Ressources Haïtiennes de Sudbury is a cultural association dedicated to helping newcomers in the Haitian community and promoting culture. The association organizes the annual Cultural Gala for Sudbury’s Haitian community, to celebrate the community and promote networking.
L’Association des Ivoiriennes et Ivoiriens du Grand Sudbury (AIGS)
The Association des Ivoiriennes et Ivoiriens du Grand Sudbury (AIGS) is a cultural association dedicated to bringing together and supporting the Ivorians of Greater Sudbury. Every year, they organize numerous activities to welcome, network and celebrate, including the Welcome Ceremony for newcomers.

L’Association des étudiants francophones
L’Association des étudiants francophones de l’université Laurentienne offers services in French, organizes activities for francophones and ensures the well-being of its members. Founded in 1974, it is the only association that uniquely represents the interests of francophones at the university.
L’Association des étudiants africains et caribéens de l’Université Laurentienne
The mission of the Laurentian University African and Caribbean Student Association (LUACSA) is to promote exchanges and cultural awareness between African and Caribbean students in the Greater Sudbury area. LUACSA organizes events and educational activities, providing students and the Sudbury community with opportunities to discover and celebrate diverse African and Caribbean cultures.
L’Association générale des étudiantes et des étudiants
Collège Boréal students have come together to create the Association générale des étudiantes et des étudiants (AGEE), which represents the entire Collège Boréal student community. The AGEE offers a variety of socio-cultural activities, free or at a reduced price, to help students discover cultural diversity and develop an interest in francophone culture.

The Caisse Desjardins is a cooperative financial group that contributes to community development. Its mission is to help its members and customers achieve financial independence.
Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury
The Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury works to restore, maintain and improve the health and well-being of francophones in all their diversity. The CSCGS offers health services, activity programming, accessibility, health resources and immigration services to newcomers (settlement, employability and cultural).
Collège Boréal
Collège Boréal offers quality training and services to a diverse clientele. At the heart of the communities it serves, Collège Boréal provides leadership in fostering the vitality and sustainable development of Ontario’s francophone communities.
Collège Boréal offers training programs and immigration services to eligible newcomers to help them integrate more quickly into Canada, based on their skills and experience.
Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord
Conscious of the need for a healthy environment, the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord, in collaboration with its communities, provides French-language public education of the highest quality to develop in each student the skills and values that will enable them to realize their full potential and assume their place as a citizen of the world.
Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon
The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon, in collaboration with its students, parents, employees, parishes and communities, offers a French-language Catholic education in a welcoming, engaging, innovative, sustainable, healthy and safe Christ-centered learning environment.
SÉO
SÉO was founded over twenty years ago as RDÉE Ontario. Today, the organization is a key player in the economic development of Ontario’s francophone and bilingual ecosystem. It contributes, among other things, by fostering the emergence of new businesses and supporting the growth of existing ones, helping Francophone and bilingual newcomers find quality jobs, supporting employers in their recruitment efforts, and contributing to the economic strengthening of communities through a series of initiatives and programs. SÉO employs some forty people across the province. SÉO is part of RDÉE Canada, a national network.
Programme d’habilitation économique des communautés noires du Nord de l’Ontario
The Northern Ontario Black Economic Empowerment Program is a northern economic development initiative. The program is supported by the Government of Canada and implemented by the Afro-Heritage Association of Sudbury.
NOBEEP develops, combines and implements culturally appropriate supports for Black entrepreneurs and business owners to address gaps in Northern Ontario’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Option emploi offers free employment services for employers and individuals seeking employment. Services range from coaching and preparation to programs and job posting.
Carrefour francophone de Sudbury et La Slague
Carrefour francophone is the cultural and community center of Greater Sudbury, Ontario. They run 11 early childhood centers, 5 Tremplins (before- and after-school programs), a series of cultural summer camps, the Clé de sol music school and shows presented under La Slague.

GOVA
GOVA, formerly known as Greater Sudbury Transit, is a public transit authority responsible for serving bus routes in Greater Sudbury and area. The network is the largest in Northern Ontario, with 25 routes operating between 5:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Centre régional des affaires
The Regional Business Centre is a one-stop shop for information and advice on starting, expanding and managing a business.
Supported by community collaborators, the Regional Business Centre is part of the City of Greater Sudbury’s Economic Development Division. Since its opening in 1995, it has supported thousands of entrepreneurs. It is also one of 54 small business coaching centers in Ontario, part of the Ontario Entrepreneur Network.

The Greater Sudbury Public Library strives to enrich the lives of individuals and the spirit of the community by providing the highest quality library service to its citizens in their pursuit of reading, learning, education and dreams.

Radio-Canada
CBC/Radio-Canada is the national public broadcaster. The Broadcasting Act requires that “broadcasting services shall include a wide range of programming that informs, enlightens and entertains”. Its mission is to promote Canadian culture and support democratic life by offering a wide range of diversified content that informs, enlightens and entertains.
Le Voyageur
Le Voyageur is a reflection of the diverse and ever-evolving contemporary francophonie of Northern Ontario. It shares their struggles and hopes in the voices they express, and through its accessibility as a medium.
Le Loup FM
CHYC-FM is a French-language radio station on 98.9 MHz on Sudbury’s FM band, owned by Le5 Communications in adult contemporary format.

La Slague invites you to a day of fun at Place des Arts! Get ready for activities on both floors and a program that will blow your mind. And that’s not all! Discover Downtown Sudbury’s Yard Sale outside Place des Arts on Elgin Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What’s more, our friends at GNO will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Le Bistro will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with their regular menu.

Chansons en récoltes show with Monsieur André et François Lefèbvre

Chansons en récoltes is an immersion into the rich universe of Monsieur André and double bassist François Lefèbvre. The two musicians sow good cheer with songs unearthed from a time when the land and its inhabitants were in everyone’s heart. In a festive atmosphere, Monsieur André and his long-time accomplice revive the conviviality and humor of the beautiful songs of the French-Canadian oral tradition, while also offering a few original songs.
Librairie Panache
Story time presented by Centre franco-ontarien de folklore, Salon du livre du Grand Sudbury and Librairie Panache.

Spark your child’s imagination and develop his or her language skills by introducing them to the world of books. Story time is a great family opportunity to discover the pleasure of reading, while sharing curiosity and creativity. Interaction during storytime will be enriched by the participation of our special animators, Rachel Desaulniers and Alexandre Matte.
Historic tour with Marc Despatie

Get a taste of Sudbury’s economic, social and urban history by experiencing a “reading” of downtown’s urban form and built environment on a guided tour with Marc Despatie, Carrefour francophone treasurer and amateur urban planner/historian. Join us for a walk with frequent breaks.
The Sudbury Literary Trail with Stéphane Gauthier
Meeting point: Panache Bookstore
12 pm to 2:30 pm
An overview of Sudbury’s history through texts published in French and places evoked and recounted in literature. It’s participatory. We carry books and read excerpts. We’re focusing on the history of the cultural milieu and French Canadians in Nouvel-Ontario, and the marks of the industrial past. The tour is designed as a journey with “stations”. It begins at the Librairie Panache in Place des Arts and ends at the same location, where some of the books on the tour will be on sale.
Be careful on the tour! Bring good shoes and an umbrella! 18 places only. First come, first served!

At the entrance: Make-up and Costume Hour
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Danika Blais hosts a make-up workshop. Kids can put on their Spiderman, feline or butterfly costumes! Allow the young ones to let their imaginations run and embody the characters of their wildest dreams! They’ll create lasting memories and leave with beaming smiles!
Costume hour runs all day long! Come and transform yourself into whoever you want at Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario’s stand-alone station. Become the comedian or actor of your dreams with the costume that calls to you for an impromptu play, anything is possible! It’s even the perfect opportunity to take posed photos all day long!
On the terrace: Pièces détachées with Pierre Harrison
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The terrace on the 2nd floor of Place des Arts will be transformed into a world of wonders for children. A variety of parts and tools will be on hand to spark their imaginations. This activity is a place of exploration where children are free to learn, discover and play as they wish. On the menu: creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, all sprinkled with a healthy dose of fun and self-confidence.

Zone A: Éveil musical workshop with Nicole Glover and Anne-Marie Jutras
10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Nicole Glover and Anne-Marie Jutras, educators and musicians with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, will be offering early-learning, initiation and musical exploration workshops for your little ones! These musical awakening workshops will introduce your children to the world of music and speech therapy.
Sensory explorations, using instruments and the voice, awaken the child’s first musical emotions.
Zone B: Barbouille workshop with Nicholas Dupuis
12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Join us for a Barbouille workshop, an explosion of color and creativity! Together, young and old alike will explore the fascinating world of scribbles through paint, gouache and colored pencils. Each participant will help create a joyful and playful mural, where scribbles of all kinds come to life. Fun guaranteed in a friendly and artistic atmosphere!
Centere de la petite enfance – Place des tout-petits: Natural dye workshop with Sophie Leblanc
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In this artistic exploration activity, you’ll learn dyeing techniques using plant and mineral based materials.
You’ll be given tree and shrub leaves to color banners to reflect the colors of autumn! Feel free to bring leaves from your garden to add your own personalized touch!
M. André’s show
3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
M. André would like to share his passion for traditional French-Canadian songs with you. Of course, folklore means spoon, so come discover the rhythms of M. André’s rigodons, and who knows, you too could learn to play the spoon.
Greenroom: Lego and robotics with Jazz Mathon
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Robotics, Lego, animated models and engineering challenges are fascinating! With the help of Jazz Mathon, our passionate design expert, kids will have the chance to create projects on their own or in teams. Who knows what they’ll build! There are so many possibilities!
Note that there will also be access to dressing rooms for mothers and their babies who want to take a rest or need a space to breastfeed.
La Grande Salle
Welcoming Ceremony with Patricia Cano
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The day wraps up in La Grande Salle for the Welcome Ceremony, warmly led by Peruvian-Canadian actress and singer-songwriter Patricia Cano!
A native of Sudbury, Patricia is well known for her voice and acting across the country, the recipient of several NOMFA awards, as well as a long career with theatre companies in the province and an international Cree cabaret tour.
During the ceremony, Place des Arts and municipal representatives will take the stage to welcome and thank our newest members to our diverse francophone community.

La Slague's Evolution
La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
