**AT CAPACITY** "Juste pour rire" Show : Maxim Martin + Chloé Thériault

THIS SHOW IS NOW AT CAPACITY.

MAXIM MARTIN

After more than 30 years of shows, radio, hosting and landmark acts at the Just for Laughs Galas, you’d think Maxim Martin had moved on to another stage in his life. He has written a best-seller, “Excessif”, about his struggles with alcohol and drugs, and even gives lectures on “the pleasure of becoming wise”. And yet, with his latest show, F**koff, we find him not as much mellowed as assertive, exploring the letting go that inhabits him in his early fifties. In a rigid society where we no longer know what we can laugh about, Maxim Martin once again has fun reconciling us with our taboos.

The language in this show may not be suitable for some spectators. We prefer to warn you.

CHLOÉ THÉRIAULT

A graduate in Theatre from Laurentian University, Chloé Thériault is a multidisciplinary and omnipresent artist. You’ve seen her on stage with solo shows, or as the opening act for Katherine Levac, on the small screen in Letterkenny, or even in the English theater in YES Theatre’s Mamma Mia and Mary Poppins. On the radio, she can be heard as a poetic editorialist on Radio-Canada (Jonction 11-17) as well as in season 1 of the radio drama “Voix Ouvertes”. Chloé has just returned from a two-month cross-Canada tour with the project “Un. Deux. Trois.” by Mani Soleymanlou, and is currently working on a third script called Solo Cup.

La Slague's Evolution

La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
