Greater Sudbury’s Place des Arts will officially open its doors on April 29, 2022.
Last week, Alain Richard, Place des Arts’ Chairperson, announced that they postponed the official opening, due to construction delays caused by COVID-19.

La Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury ouvrira ses portes en avril
Here are the events touched:
The event planned on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury is cancelled.
We haven’t yet determined whether the event will be pushed back to later in the year. Given the many partners and players involved, we’ll need some time to examine the situation.
The event planned on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury is cancelled.
The event was planned on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury.
The show with P’tit Belliveau is maintained at the same date, but will take place in Salle Trisac at Collège Boréal, and won’t be a part of the 9th edition of La Nuit émergente.

La Nuit émergente 2022 is postponed and will take place from May 18 to 21, 2022, and will include the show Nikamu Mamuitun / Chansons rassembleuses (Togetherness Songs).
The full line up will be announced at the end of March.
The event was planned on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury.
As Place des Arts is no longer available for the scheduled date, we are looking for an appropriate new venue. We will let you know what we decide as soon as possible.
