Based in Montreal since 2014, he has established himself as a key figure in the jazz and world music scene. His concerts, which blend percussion, ngomas, drums, saxophone and piano, celebrate the richness of African cultures in a universal language.
Following his debut album Coubli (2021), acclaimed for its rhythmic finesse, he was named Radio-Canada’s Jazz Revelation of 2024 and performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. His second album, Ségui sô — Retour aux racines —, released in October 2025, continues his exploration of the fusion between ancestral rhythms and contemporary sounds.
The project is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Création Jazz grant from the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
