Sarah Craig presents...
With just one performer like her, Sudbury would already be a music capital. Her masterful piano and vocals, her smart compositions in pop-tinged jazz and folk, and her easygoing way on stage have carried her all across Canada for over 20 years. She has recently been working on French compositions. An artist like her has outstanding friends in the world of jazz. Tonight, she has invited one of them to our bistro.
Éric St Laurent
When he plays the guitar, it’s a cascade of moments of uplifting excitement, as he dominates the art of jazzy improvisation in a manner that is all his own. Born in Montreal, he studied in New York and spent ten years immersed in European music in Berlin before settling in Toronto. This veteran performer has fifteen or so albums to his credit. His recent explorations combine composition, technology, and diverse international musical traditions. This guy knows what he’s doing, he loves it and you can feel it.

La Slague's Evolution
La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
