Mini-Slague : Chilcare service during Elisapie's concert

May 7, 2019 at 6:30pm

Children have fun, parents see a show!

While parents attend Elisapie’s concert, children can come out and have fun on their own, thanks to Mini-Slague’s on-site childcare service with quality art activities for kids.

As an ambassador of Inuit culture, Elisapie expresses the beauty of the Far North. Her new album, The Ballad of the Runaway Girl, is the musical tale of an expatriate Inuk. With tenderness for her people, she sings of her origins and offers folk music that goes back to basics, sometimes sweet, sometimes raw, with her unique mixture of Inuktitut, English and French.

La Slague's Evolution

La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
