Lior Shoov

November 17, 2018 at 8:00pm

Lior Shoov is an Israeli multi-instrumentalist who has traveled around the world for five years with a backpack full of strange instruments. A ukulele, plastic tubes, harmonicas, toys, a Hang drum and tambourines collide in a performance that mixes song, world music, body play and expression of the moment. Effortlessly she jumps from one universe to another, her influences intermingling in a truly unique performance. Armed with her experience in clowning and theatre, she explores the boundary between stage and public space.

La Slague's Evolution

La Slague was established in 1964 by the Centre des jeunes de Sudbury. After many years of success, La Slague went dormant, and then reappeared for a time in the mid-1980s as a community-based volunteer organization. With La Slague’s renaissance in 2006 as part of the Carrefour francophone, a third generation of concert promotion activities was afoot.
